Candace Oliva is currently the Director of CIDMO Strategic Engagement, Office of Health Informatics for VA Central Office (VACO) Washington, DC She was previously the Vice President of Operations (Health Systems Specialist) to the Associate/Assistant Director, Acting Assistant Director at Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, Director of Strategic and Clinical Project Management to the Hospital Director. Candace received her Bachelor of Applied Science & Bachelor of Arts (BA) Psychology from St. Ambrose University, Veterans Career Transition Program- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification & Project Management Certificate from Syracuse University, Associate of Science (AS) Health Management from Community College of the Air Force, Master of Arts (MA)Healthcare Administration from Ashford University, and Data Science & Analytics Certification from University of Wisconsin-Madison Candace played women's basketball in college, and served in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves.


Received Various Scholarships and Awards while in college to include: President’s Scholarship, Peterson Memorial Scholarship, Women’s Basketball Scholarship, Athletic Academic MCC All-Conference, 4-Year participation award for Women’s Basketball.
