Each year, the nation celebrates the service that thousands of Americans perform through AmeriCorps. It is a time to salute the AmeriCorps members and alums for their hard work and thank the community partners that support them.
Since 1994, 41,000 AmeriCorps Members have served Illinois communities. They have served 59 million hours which is worth $1.4 billion in impact to Illinois. While serving, they have earned $140 million to help pay for college. Members have pledged to "Get Things Done" since the program's inception in 1994.
