"Linking Education and Progress in our Communities.”
We discussed what the community and the schools are doing to help all students receive a quality education, and what we can look forward to in the future.
State Representative Donald Moffitt gave the following advice, “Don’t let your circumstances dictate or define who you are.” He gave examples of famous people who came from humble beginnings, and who’s lives had a profound impact on our country such as Carl Sandburg, Mary Bickerdyke, and Abraham Lincoln. He also encouraged the audience to make learning a lifelong experience to open doors of opportunity.
Information from last year's forum.
